Bienvenue!
Our tour started in beautiful Paris, France. Of all the cities on the tour, Paris was the one I wanted to visit the least. I always thought of Paris as too cliche. Turns out, by the time we got home, Paris was at the top of my list! I can't wait to go back! The city was beautiful, the people were great, the art was amazing, and the pasteries...Yum!!
We arrived a day early, just in case... Surprisingly we were able to find our way through the airport, onto the trains and right to our hotel with ease! The hotel was nice and very centrally located. After check-in we headed to the Eiffel Tower. It was much more grand than any picture I'd ever seen. We spent the evening strolling the streets and watching street performers. The morning the tour the tour began, we hopped on the train to Versailles. We spent hours touring the grounds and barely made it back to meet with our group on time! It was apparent right from the beginning that we had a fabulous tour group! Our group consisted of mostly women, a few cool men, and an amazingly good group of teenagers! After our initial meeting, we headed out on what turned out to be the single most amazing adventure in my 38 years!

So Many Sights
Irene, Linda, Rose, Crystal and Mary
We saw all the major highlights of Paris in a whirlwind tour that left me wanting more. From the meals to the river cruise, Notre Dame to St. Chapelle, the Louvre to the Latin Quarter. Paris is a city that has it all! The stained glass windows at St. Chapelle won me over immediately. During our free time, we chose to see the Muse de Rodin, the Arc de Triomphe and the Luxembourg Gardens. Turns out I have quite a love for statues! Our visit to Rodin was one of the highlights of my stay in Paris. Mom, Linda, Crystal and I even rode the pedi-cab through the busy streets! Because I loved the statues so much, I have dedicated an entire tab to Art, you too can see the beautiful statues by clicking the button here...
City of Love
Paris has always been known as the City of Love. That nickname has been well deserved. Couples dotted the landscape around the Eiffel Tower. The language was so beautiful that I am now hoping to take French classes. The waiters and store clerks were fun and flirty! I got my first kiss on the very first day... Oh, I knew then I would LOVE Paris, but as a true hopeless romantic, its the bridges that captured my heart. Couples seal their love to one another by placing a lock on the bridges over the River Seine. The key is supposedley thrown into the river, but due to pollution, that isn't as true today as it once was. One day, I too, hope to place a lock on a Parisian bridge!
